What Emmanuel Means to me...

This page provides the opportunity to share what Emmanuel Lutheran Church means to me.  Please reflect a moment on how Emmanuel has touched your life.

During the summer, we attend a very small church in Northern Minnesota. It so small the entire congregation is about the size of our fabulous choir at Emmanuel....yet we love this small group of Lutherans. Regardless of size, wherever we can gather, we need each other. God Bless, Arland and Carol Waters/ Akeley, MN

Emmanuel Lutheran Church helped me in my hour of need. I had never been to this church but decided to walk in and ask for help. I explained in the office what was going on in my life. By the time I got home I had a phone call from Nurse Carol and the next day with Carol and Pastor Lee. They were there for me. I have been going to the church ever since and have never found a place that actually realize that you are there. Thank you Emmanuel

Emmanuel is...people who support you by surrounding you with shoulders to lean on during difficult times.

What is a door? An entrance. Usually doors are a one section, but Emmanuel and most churches have double doors.
These double doors give enough room for you and another to pass through together. As I pass through the double door of Emmanuel, I feel the presence of God's hand. We are walking hand in hand. I feel the assurance as the silent whisper of promises echoes in my mind for me to believe. Emmanuel's pastoral, laymen, and body of believers is providing me with spoken proof that He is here for the eternity of His children. I come to the water of baptism, am touched by the Holy Spirit and receive fulfillment in the Holy sacrament. It is the Grace Of God, free to all, simply by entering the door HIS promises.

In the 33 years I have been a member of Emmanuel, there has
been many opportunities for me to serve and grow as the church grew. My needs are fulfilled in many ways. I pray for God's continued blessings on Emmanuel and it's family.

Emmanuel is a church of loving and caring Pastors and members. The church family works together towards common goals, shares their abilities, skills and time. They spread the message of God's love for all people, serving their members and community. Emmanuel is my refuge and sanctuary.

We have been called to "make disciples of all nations"...which includes Naples. The presentation of word and sacrament at Emmanuel provides the inspiration and confidence that we can fulfill that commission.

Soren Kierkegaard 1813-1855, Danish philosopher and theologian once said, "We can either float in faith or drowned in despair." Emmanuel Lutheran Church has always been a place that has helped me to "float in faith" and for that I am deeply grateful.

When I walk into Emmanuel, I feel such love. I know that no matter what happens in my life I will never be alone. The love of God and the love and caring of the members is conforting and reassuring. I enjoy that we are an active Church and we want to take God's message to others. I look forward to our ministry at Oil Well Road and as we seek new members at Mooring Line Drive. Lea Smith

We visited several churches when we moved to the Bonita Springs/Naples area over 11 years ago. We were first impressed with the warmth we felt from members that welcomed us. Pastor Frank made a personal visit and we connected. Then we became aware of the music program and were so impressed with Pastor Steve, his inspiring messages and his talents. Since then, we have become involved with the choir within Emmanuel. It has been a good fit for us. We have been blessed. Arland and Carol Waters

Emmanuel is: acceptance, friendships, family of God, doing
God's work, looking ahead, hearing the Word and spreading
the Word, thanking and praising our God through worship, music and prayer.

After moving here on a part time basis from a smaller community, and now having so many choices of seeing and doing things is a bit overwhelming. We find attending Emmanuel is a solid right choice for us in keeping grounded in God’s word and association with people who seek also to be faithful to God. Thank you for being here and having open arms and hearts and offering good programs to nurture faith in God.

When we moved to Naples full time, we visited several churches in the area but after visiting Emmanuel Lutheran we knew we had found our new Church. It gave us everything we were looking for, spiritual fulfillment, biblical education and a wonderful music program. We are very fortunate to have Doug Denisen and Joyce Finlay as our choir director and organist.

Emmanuel has been my primary place of worship for about 10 years. Its staff and members have been a comfort in difficult times and friends to share the joyful ones. Emmanuel has also been a place where I can serve the Lord in other ways including being a Stephen Minister and a member of our long range strategy team.

Emmanuel substantiates and encourages my Sincere "Trust in the LORD". Emmanuel is so much a necessary part of my life - Fellowship with the Lord and Human Beings.
Thanks be to GOD.

From a recent visitor...
Upon entering the church many friendly faces greeted me. Members seemed to be enjoying each other's companionship. Love and laughter are a good combination to see and hear. The simplicity of the service allowed what was truly important to stand out...Seems the church is very giving to the poor. I'd love to attend another service again.

My Emmanuel family has been a part of my life for 21 years. This is my spiritual home; a place to meditate, worship and refresh the soul. It is the sharing with each other that makes Emmanuel a special place for all who gather here.

I knew I wanted to be a part of this thriving and supportive community of faith from the beginning. Each time, I feel so blessed to experience a strong spiritual connection with God and with the Emmanuel community.

Emmanuel provides an opportunity to embrace God and to spread His word in many ways. The Phase II Campaign, With All Boldness, is one of those opportunities. It enables me to use God's gifts to bring His word to others.

Joyce McCorkle, Even though John and I left Emmanuel to move to Tucson AZ, Emmanuel has never left my heart. Please give my wishes for a Very BlessedNew Year and will see you in June when we come too town for our Grandson Lewis graduation

Emmanuel to me means Family. I know that here I can be imperfect but still loved for who I am and for the gifts we share together. Emmanuel is my home, where I go to feel safe and at peace in Christ. I have never felt closer to the people and staff of Emmanuel than I do at this time in my life. No other place gives me that assurance.

Emmanuel Worship Services and the messages from the Pastors helps me to see the wonderful expansive picture that Jesus wants for my life. I am so grateful to the Pastors and to the loving congregation.
